I began my musical studies on the flute and obtained a diploma at the Conservatorio “Giuseppe Verdi” of Turin. I then also graduated in philosophy at the University of Bologna, where I subsequently specialized in musicology and music aesthetics.
I am a music critic for the journal Giornale della musica, for which I look after a blog on its website and act as correspondent from Madrid.
From 2009 to 2012 I was founder and artistic director of a contemporary music festival project called “VeronaContemporanea/Intersezioni” on behalf of the Arena di Verona opera company: as well as overseeing each season, I was also responsible for the communication and for the management of individual productions. I am also a theatre director, particularly for shows in which music, theatre and dance come together in an ideal expressive synthesis.
