stage direction

I designed and directed the stage production of Don Perlimplín, a work by Garcia Lorca with music by Bruno Maderna, for the 2009 season of VeronaContemporanea, with the important contribution of the choreography of Susanna Beltrami and the marionettes of Jimmy Davis: a successful piece of teamwork that aimed to achieve an ideal expressive synthesis of music, word and dance.

In 2012 I continued the collaboration with Susanna Beltrami, with whom I staged the production, for the first time in Italy, of The Yellow Sound, a “theatre piece by Vasilij Kandinskij” (which the artist included in his celebrated “The Blue Rider” almanac), with music by Alfred Schnittke, on 11 February, to inaugurate the newly restored Teatro Ristori of Verona.
